In collaboration with local Architect, Fusion Architecture, Prose Spokane navigates challenging topography to provide 300 units of market rate housing. By working with the natural surroundings, the building massings are broken up by stepped foundations and roof forms. The buildings are further articulated with breezeways or exterior stairwells, balconies and a subdued color pallet. With a clubhouse inspired by a ski chalet, walking paths surrounding dedicated areas of nature conservation, overlook areas, and a communal play area nestled into a hillside, the project evokes a strong connection to nature.
