Wave Books Office
Location: Seattle, WA
Located in Capitol Hill, the interior renovation focused on preserving and highlighting the exposed timber structure, the existing skylight, and the feature brick wall, while developing a new office space to work and showcase Wave Books' breadth of books and poems. The project distinguishes a series of office spaces with half-height walls and large windows to maximize lighting, along with a large feature metal bookcase and ladder to exhibit Wave Books’ collection.
The lounge sits right below the existing skylight for a well-lit reading space, flanked by built-in casework for exhibiting a sequence of art pieces. The deep-toned wood, original brick, and the dark, slick metal bookshelf, are accentuated with a clean, bright, and minimal interior.
