Happy National Pumpkin Day! We participated the 2016 Carve for a Cause hosted by Architects Without Borders - Seattle last night, and the event was amazing! From brainstorming to pumpkin carving, we had lots of fun creating our "Pumpkin Mondrian" and "The Wave." Here is a recap of our pumpkin adventure!
In May, our principal Chad traveled to Shanghai to provide consulting for several developing senior living projects in Mainland China. Check out his travel photos to see some of the most luxurious senior living design in China!
During the visit, Chad attended a brand conference hosted by China Life Insurance Group, as the group officially released China Life Caregarden, a sub-brand of senior living development. In the conference, China Life Caregarden presented their first senior living project at Yangcheng Lake, a popular tourist attraction in the city of Suzhou (see photo above). The community was created in collaboration with Merrill Gardens.
The project at Yangcheng Lake has a total construction area of over 1,180,000 square feet. Key amenities of the community include health centers, theaters, experience center, swimming clubs, hotels and retails.
Chad paid a visit to Merrill Gardens at Shanghai Yangpu District, which will soon open in the spring of 2016. Originally a hotel, the building is now converted into a luxury senior living building with a total of 211 independent units. It's that time of year again: pumpkin carving! Our final product for Carve for a Cause 2015 resembles the famous Cloud Gate sculpture in Chicago.
